Another Shooting at the Allure Nightclub on Cheshire Bridge

We need your help with the 5-minute ask below.

Last week, there was yet another shooting related to the Allure nightclub located at 2284 Cheshire Bridge – this time with 30+ rounds fired. We recognize that many of you have had enough of crime in and around our neighborhood.

Our Councilmember Alex Wan is asking Mayor Dickens and the Chief of Police for a "Due Cause" proceeding against Allure. Due Cause is when APD petitions the alcohol License Review Board (LRB) for penalties up to a revocation of the alcohol permit. This is the third shooting at that location and the second with 30+ rounds fired. Although similar efforts in the past have not been approved, this latest incident has intensified the need for action.

This decision rests with the Mayor and the Chief of Police. Please take five minutes to send them an email and ask them to revoke the liquor license for Allure/Girls Galore as a result of three shootings. You can CC Councilmember Wan as well. Individual letters are always helpful, but in the interest of time feel free to copy and paste the language below. Please also share this ask with your neighbors who may not receive our emails. Thank you for your prompt action!

Mayor Andre Dickens: mayordickens@atlantaga.gov

Chief of Police Rodney Bryant: rbryant@atlantaga.gov

Councilmember Alex Wan: awan@atlantaga.gov

_______________________

Dear Mayor Dickens and Chief of Police Bryant,

I am a Piedmont Heights resident and am increasingly alarmed by the shootings related to the Allure/Girls Galore nightclub at 2284 Cheshire Bridge Road. This week's shooting was the third of its kind and the second with more than 30 rounds fired. The location is near Piedmont Heights and directly beside homes in the Lindridge Martin Manor neighborhood.

Alcohol license abuse continues to threaten our neighborhoods that border Cheshire Bridge. Please revoke the liquor license for Allure/Girls Galore. We are fed up with the lack of action when the situation continues to worsen and are looking to this new administration for leadership.

Sincerely,
